THE CHROMATIC SCALE SOUND TUBES®
The Chromatic Scale Sound Tubes® are the direct application of the sound and cell experiments by Fabien Maman in the University of Jussieu in Paris. The photographic results of these experiments are found in his Book I: The Role of Music in the Twenty-First Century. These photographs document the explosion of cancer cells (in vitro) after the application of the chromatic scale using metal instruments.
The Chromatic Tubes are diatonically tuned. The set consists of 25 tubes with a wooden frame, all individually handcrafted by Wolfgang Dienert-Lorler in Germany. The Chromatic Tubes are tuned in a single day since the frequencies depend upon the air pressure, humidity, etc. Tuning the entire set in one day assures that the set remains always in tune with itself.
